How to Choose the Perfect Destination Wedding Venue?

How about saying, “I love you” at the beach, on the royal palaces, or near the breathtaking mountains? All of them are possible if you choose India as your wedding venue! However, how do you choose one product out of hundreds that promises you magic itself? That’s where we step in. We have also talked to some of the stellar destination wedding planners in India to guide you in choosing the right destination for your wedding day.

1. Location: Close to loved ones.

One of the key aspects of organising a destination wedding is the venue. Why not choose what is even closer in proximity to your loved ones? In addition, having your celebrations in a place that is easy to access for your family and friends gives them an opportunity to come and makes the day even more warm and personal.

2. Budget: Consider all expenses.

However, when it comes to planning a destination wedding, budgeting for every expense is one of the most important things to consider. You should also create a detailed budget that includes all these components as a way of covering yourself financially and ensuring that you do not experience any financial problems during the planning stage or at your special event. For your budget, you can reach out to a destination wedding planner in India.

3. Capacity: Enough space for guests

Selecting a place for a destination wedding is indeed an exciting undertaking involving countless viable options. As you consider different venues for your events, it is important that you focus on the capacity of the venue first. Allowing sufficient space for your guests will play a critical role in your quest to make an unforgettable party.

4. Amenities: adequate for wedding needs.

Therefore, it’s important to think about what amenities will be available at the venue chosen for a destination wedding so that your wedding needs will be well catered for. Such a place can have a great panorama, but if it is not equipped with the necessary facilities, it will turn into a big logistical headache at once. Therefore, consider selecting venues with on-site facilities to enable proper planning and more convenience among the people involved.

5. Personalisation: Customise to your vision.

Personalisation is essential when picking a destination wedding venue. Each couple has their own perspective on what makes their special day, and tailoring the location to that perspective could be what sets it apart from all others.

Conclusion

Selecting the right locale for a wedding is a matter of importance and concern. Although there are various aspects to consider, including budget, guest rooms, and local attractions, it is important to remember that it should be a place that means something to you and your bride. The venue can be a breath-taking beachfront resort or charming vineyards in the country; however, it should show your unique style and create a memorable occasion for a couple and guests.

Important Must-Haves for the Wedding Day.

If you are planning a big wedding ceremony very shortly, then as a wedding couple you must plan for it very carefully. While you may have hired the best wedding planner company in Delhi India then also you must do these little things to ensure that everything goes as smoothly and keep your stress level manageable.

The budget

This is one of the big problems that most wedding management companies in India find when they are engaging with their clients. Many young couples who have become engaged start their planning process by meeting the vendors without doing much research. The couple should have a realistic wedding budget and if the cost is shared within the family, then they should first figure out how much each member will contribute before they start planning for several guests, what food to serve, the venue is to select, and so on.

The guest lists

Before you buy even a single item, you must know how many guests you have invited. As money is limited, you don’t want to splurge on something and then watch it go waste. You should also try to trim the guest list to ensure that the cost of your wedding ceremony stays within your wedding budget.

The weather plans

You must have a backup plan to fall back on in case the weather takes a turn for the worse. For example, if you want to have an outdoor wedding ceremony, then you must talk with the total management that in case the weather on that day worsens, then they should rent out their indoor halls.

Professional vendors

Always try to hire the services of those vendors who have huge experience in supplying to various wedding ceremonies. If you are serving hard liquor at your wedding, then you should enquire whether the vendors have the proper license to do it as well as whether they have liability insurance so that in case of an accident they are reimbursed.

Contract with all vendors

You must sign a legal contract with all vendors in which what they have to do and how much it would cost and at what their services are required are mentioned.

Keeping Your Mehendi Ceremony Safe From COVID-19?

If you are planning to organise your wedding ceremonywithin the next few months but are unhappy because you could not have the Mehendi ceremony, then we have good news for you. If you have the moolah and have hired the best destination wedding planner in Kerala or any other exotic place, then you can ask the organiser to organise the Mehendi the ceremony following all the health-related guidelines issued by the government. When you hire an expert as the destination wedding planner in Udaipur, then you should rest assured that they have the expertise and knowledge to plan and execute a beautiful Mehendi ceremony even in this pandemic. For your knowledge, we have listed some of the important points you must keep in your mind while planning for your Mehendi ceremony. We have collated these points from a reputable destination wedding planner in Jaipur.

1).Keep the guest list short: It is customary that a large number of people are invited at any Indian marriage ceremony. However, according to the health guidelines issued by the government, you can invite-only 50 people that include members of your family. This rule is made to ensure that the norms of social distancing are maintained strictly. While sending the invitations, you must communicate this rule with your guests so that they do not bring along a guest with a friend to attend the ceremony.

2). Organise the ceremony in your home or closer to your home: You must organise the ceremony either in your home or somewhere which is close to your home. This will ensure that you have more control over the hygiene of the venue.

3).Must ensure strict adherence to social distancing and hygiene: When your guests arrive at the venue, you must ensure that all of them are wearing facemasks and have sanitised their hand. You can put some disposable facemasks and hand sanitisers in the room so that the guest who came without wearing the face mask can have one, and all of them sanitise their hands thoroughly. Furthermore, you must ensure that the social distancing norms are followed strictly and no exceptions are made.

4). The Mehendi the artist must wear a face mask and sanitise his/her hands: As the Mehendi artist will be in close contact with you and other guests, they must sanitise their hands and wear hand gloves and facemasks.

The Wedding Stringer – Should Wedding Pros Eat on the Job?

Last year, there was a spot of controversy over a Brides magazine piece which laid out which wedding pros a prospective bride and groom should or should not feed over the course of the big day.

Specifically, the writer suggested that, in most situations, photographers ought not be fed.

A lot of people objected to this, but there’s a shred of truth to it. Feeding photographers might make them sleepy, and they might follow you home and generally get too comfortable and complacent around humans.

Wait, sorry. I’m mixing up wedding photographers and raccoons.

Of course brides and grooms should feed photographers, as well as any other wedding professional. It’s just a kind, giving, human thing to do.

But this article is not for brides and grooms, it’s for wedding pros. Alas, you will encounter clients not very simpatico with the people they hire.

So how do you handle that, in regards to your belly? Here’s how:

DO: Pack a protein bar

Or any other snack that fills you up. You know, they say Snickers really satisfies you.

It can be a drag seeing all of this scrumptious food made by top caterers when you can’t have any of it.

But that’s show business, hoss. If you see to it that you’re not hungry to begin with because you thought to pack a snack in your emergency bag, then the braised mastodon turnovers will be less distracting.

DON’T: Eat conspicuously

I know that secretly, you subsist on solid foods just like the rest of the world. But I will keep your secret. Here, you’re not a human, you’re a professional.

It honestly kind of sucks that wedding professionals aren’t treated to the fun parts of weddings and made to feel like friends more often. We, as a society, should spare tons of humanity for the worker bees we encounter throughout the day.

But it is what it is. If the cable TV installer plopped down on my couch and watched a full episode of Judge Judy before taking off, that would feel weird and presumptuous.

By the same token, any eating you do on the job, whether it’s a candy bar or a meal, should be done either privately, or subtly on the periphery of the main activities.

DO: State your wishes in your contract.

As noted in the linked article, some wedding professionals do just that; require, in their contract, that their clients feed them.

This is a great and smart thing. It takes away all the awkwardness of wondering whether it would be right or wrong, acceptable or gauche, for you to grab a slice of tiramisu.

DON’T: Ask the host if you can eat the catered food.

If you put it in your contract as above, you don’t even have to ask. But (again, not saying this is right, just saying it’s reality) if you’re all, “C’n I have a lobster tail, too?” you’re gonna look kind of lame.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is, the clients who don’t give a damn if you eat or not aren’t as common, in my experience, as more kindly clients who will invite you to partake. And if they do, you absolutely can.

Sorry to end this here, but I have to shoo some wedding photographers away from my dumpster.

Be an Invincible Wedding Pro In Any Weather

Hey, do you want to be the most BADASS WEDDING PROFESSIONAL EVER?!?
Are you trying to be a WEDDING PRO SUPERHERO???
Then let it be known that nothing as piddly as a hurricane will stop you from performing your duties on that bride and groom’s special day.

I am writing this while Hurricane Irma is making its way up the Florida Gulf Coast. It’s supposed to be the strongest Caribbean hurricane on record.
Scores of flights have been cancelled. Major sporting events have been postponed, and of course, many Florida weddings planned for this weekend are not happening.
But one is.
Jessie Weir and Christopher Chouinard tied the knot in Vero Beach on Friday, September 8th with Irma bearing down on the state.

  • They did so despite most of their guests having cancelled.
  • They did so despite their reception area closing due to the storm.
  • They did so despite most of their vendors cancelling to evacuate.

Did the couple think about postponing their wedding? LOL, hell no. “This was going to happen, there was no question about that,” said Weir.
They must’ve been frustrated by all the wimps around them. Or the ones that used to be around them
before they hightailed it out of Florida.
One wedding pro, however, was NOT a wimp.

Kati Rosado, their photographer, showed up.

“I just didn’t have the heart to say ‘Sorry, I can’t make it.’ A wedding is such a special day and it’s the only chance to capture those moments.”
The piece quotes another couple who tried their damnedest to hold their wedding in Cocoa Beach as planned, but was unable to succeed the way Weir and Chouinard did.
It sucks, according to almost-groom Daniel Dillman, because “we were focused on going down to Florida and beating the hurricane anyway. It would’ve been a fantastic story to be able to pass down to friends and family in Ohio.”

That’s a really good reason to risk life and limb: because it’d make a great story.
So what should you do when you’re dealing with couples like these? Immovable nuptial objects in the face of an irresistible hurricane force? Consider these three steps.
Weatherproof!
All your gear, from your turntables to your floral arrangements to your cakes, should be quickly transferrable to waterproof cover. If you haven’t invested in items that will protect the tools of your trade from the elements, do so ASAP.
Improvise!
Or at least be as flexible as you can. The way Weir and Chouinard were able to pull off their wedding was by moving it up a day.
Fortunately, I doubt the photographer had other plans that day, except for not-evacuating, but YOU should have a plan B in place for unforeseen circumstances. Contingencies are a fact of life in the wedding industry.
Don’t!
Weir and Chouinard were dumb for going ahead with their wedding. Rosado was dumb for filming it.
Of course, you shouldn’t let inclement weather stop you or even faze you. But this is an emergency situation, with evacuation orders in place in much of the state. It’s not worth getting injured or killed over.

Rosado said it was “the only chance to capture those moments,” but in fact, it’s not.

I pored over the Florida law books, and I found no statute stating that if you call off your wedding for hurricanes, you’re not allowed to reschedule it.
In fact, that’s what Dillman and his bride are doing, as bummed as they are about it.

The customer is only right 99% of the time. If all the conventional wisdom and sources are saying GETTTT OUTTTTTTTT, take the loss, get out, and spare your own life.
