A Beautiful Wedding Experience in Rajasthan.

We recently had a beautiful experience in organising a destination wedding for Umesh and Anuradha in Rajasthan. As one of the top wedding management companies in India, we have a good reputation for organising lavish wedding ceremonies in all parts of India as well as in many countries abroad. Therefore, when Umesh and Anuradha came to us to organise their marriage ceremony in the city of Udaipur, we started planning in earnest. As the best wedding planners company in Delhi, we assured them that their wedding ceremony would be an amazing experience for their guests

The venue

We chose one of the top wedding venues in Udaipur – The Leela Palace. This beautiful venue that exudes luxury and class is situated right at the banks of a beautiful lake. This venue is famous the world over for offering world-class services that will make you feel like royalty. This venue has a beautiful blend of old-world charm along with all the modern amenities that make your stay in this five-star Hotel worth your money.

The Vendors

We contacted our local associates and asked them to hire the services of some of the top wedding vendors in the city. As it was a complete wedding ceremony package, we took care of everything right from selecting the wedding cards to the VidaiRasam (taking the suggestions of our client in the process). We were excited to work with the local vendors.

The D Day

The day on which the marriage ceremony was going to take place was bright and sunny and everything went ahead like clockwork. The Baraat came with all the pomp and they were received at the gate by the bride’s family members. The marriage ceremony took place with all the religious mantras.

The food

For food, we chose the traditional Rajasthani dishes and the guests wear ecstatic in their praise for the mouthwatering food that we served them.

At last, the Vidai ceremony came and the bride’s family members saw the bride, the groom, and other guests off. It was a wonderful experience to soak ourselves in the amazing Rajasthani culture and be a part of the new journey that Umesh and Anuradha undertook.

Points to keep in mind to become a successful wedding planner

Here is a list of six important points that you must keep in mind to succeed as a wedding planner.

Research

If you talk to some of the top wedding planners, you will find that one of the things that all of them share is the amount of time they have put in especially for planning and research for each of their projects. When you want to organise a grand wedding in another city or country, then you must research that place thoroughly and to do this you can use the Internet to your advantage. Nowadays, if you take your time and do some research on the Internet you can easily find information about marriage halls, hotel rooms available, the name and address of the vendors and other such important information in any city. Furthermore, you can compare their services (by reading the reviews), and then hire the services of the best vendor available there at the right price to organise the wedding ceremony at a highly competitive price.

Physically visit the place

While researching online has its advantages, it cannot be replaced by physical verification. You must at least once physically visit the place where the ceremony is going to be taking place to see if there are any challenges and whether all your instructions are being carried out.

Delegate the tasks

Organising a big event like a wedding ceremony is a very stressful job and you should not take the onus of organising and doing everything on your shoulder. You must delegate your tasks amongst your assistants so that the responsibility is shared by more than one person. Additionally, you must assign one of your assistants to remain in touch with the vendors and you must stay in the vicinity where the marriage ceremony will going to be taking place in this way you can cover all the bases without feeling stretched.

Book tickets in advance

You must book bus, train, or plane tickets well in advance so that you find seats available on your favourite mode of transportation on the day you need for your clients and their guests to reach their destination in complete comfort.

Send the invitations in advance

Indian weddings are spread over several days and therefore the guests also need time to schedule their itinerary. Therefore, it makes sense to inform them well in advance about the wedding ceremony and the dataset by sending them an invitation if few months in advance.

Book the marriage hall and the hotel room in advance

You must book hotel rooms and the services of the windows well in advance so that you get to organise the wedding ceremony in the place that you want.

SMALL TOUCHES TO ENSURE GUEST COMFORT.

You may probably think that it is your big day and why do you need to focus on other people, but aren’t they the ones for whom you are doing all the arrangements in the first place, so why don’t do it flawlessly! Especially in Indian culture it is said ‘Atithi Devo Bhava!’ means ‘guests are equivalent to God’ so making sure that they are relived and enjoying your wedding may be blissful for you also.

All the guests are important:

You may have invited a lot of people from both sides, some family, some friends, some long lost cousins and extended family, and no matter if you are personally close to them or not they have come to your big day and so they are as important as any other guest. Don’t let them feel that they don’t belong there.

Here are some ideas that can help you provide your guests with a lovely experience throughout your wedding.

HAMPERS AND PERSONALISED GIFTS-

Show them how grateful you are to have them even before and also after the wedding, you can send sweets or chocolates along with an invitation and can give a personal touch by writing a note to the special ones. Also for them to have something to remember the great time they had, hand them a goodie package while they leave the venue. Provide them with snacks and daily essentials like moisturizer, sunscreen, or sanitizers to greet them when they arrive!

MAKE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA GAME STRONG –

Keep posting pictures and don’t forget to mention your squad. Make a hashtag and update all the guests with the day-to-day preps and let them get excited about your big day coming. You can also send them an email about the ceremonial schedules, share GPS locations of your venue, and don’t let them miss anything.

ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION –

Try and accommodate all the guests at the same place, this way guests will get to mingle with each other and if the venue itself has an accommodation facility then it’s perfect. This way you don’t have to worry about the time to time transportation. Pick up and drop from stations or airports will be the cherry on the cake and your guests would appreciate your thoughtful gesture!

AMBIENCE AND SITTING – make sure there are adequate seating arrangements made. There should be a proportionate number of tables and chairs, plenty of leg space for them to move around and get comfortable. Now décor may seem to you as one of the aspects that just have to look good but it should also feel good, the bright colors and tacky stuff may also bring solace if used appropriately.

MANAGE THE TIMELINE – The smart planning will be not to line up ceremony after ceremony without having breaks in between. Give yourself and your guests some time. Also, try not to start any of the ceremonies very late, be punctual about it. It will save time and you and your guest will enjoy everything without any hurry.

FOOD AND DRINKS– Keep on checking that your guests are fed and well hydrated. To accommodate everyone it is best to create a menu with various options. And if any of your guests have any special requirements because of their dietary restrictions, try to fulfill that. Serve drinks and sodas in between.

KEEP THE THING GOING – If you have a little longer gap between two ceremonies, don’t let your guests get bored, tell your photographer to click their pictures during the extra time, play songs, engage them with something, a selfie booth or a picture-perfect spot will also do!

GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT –Setting a play area for kids will help the mommies unwind, loosen up and have some fun of their own. If possible, you can place a big projector screen in a garden or somewhere for guests to chill and have fun. A planned surprise flash mob for all the shy uncles and aunties will bring the best out of them. Play fun games and keep them busy.

DRESSCODE setting a dress code for a function, for example, wear orange or green for mehndi or pastel outfits for Sangeet, will set up a whole mood in the ceremony and your guests won’t feel left out. These little things would make them feel special.

THEIR ROLE IN THE WEDDING – don’t let them forget that they are welcome, give your guests some kind of responsibility or a chance to help you. This way they would know that they also play a part in all the niceties going and that they are important. Insist them in dancing, singing and take part in the activities.

SALON AT HOME FOR THE LADIES –Who doesn’t like getting ready! Provide your female guests with makeup and hairstyling experts, who may help them look gorgeous. You can also arrange a spa and facial routine for your girl gang!

After making every possible attempt to give them comfort, don’t forget to ask them if they still need anything or if something is bothering them. And just remember, it’s the little things that matter the most!
