Music, dance, fun, party…Sangeet is the most celebrated day in a wedding. Night, chilling, food, celebration… there cannot be a single person who doesn’t like Sangeet.

Sangeet is a sacred ceremony to celebrate the union of two families and this has undergone a lot of changes in these years. Earlier, this was done by women using spoons, dholaks, and harmonium but now it is celebrated by both men and women, with dance, music, and games.

PREPARATION DAYS

During wedding preparations, it will be the Sangeet which takes up all the time. Nowadays special choreographers are appointed for the dance performances. All the uncles and aunties, siblings, and the bride and the groom have their special performances.

MUSIC

Have you made your Sangeet Playlist? No? Don’t worry, you can get Sangeet Playlist from YouTube or Spotify. Just go, play and groove with it!

Some of my favourite Sangeet songs are Pallone latke, bole chudiyaan, aafreenaafreen, Radha and the list goes on.

DRESS CODE

Sangeet is a different kind of celebration among all the wedding rituals. This is a party that does not really need a dress code. You can go with traditional sarees to dress in capes or even jeans!

IDEAS

We all know that Sangeet means music and dance. But why should we be limited to only these? Since your whole wedding is in a unique style, you can also have some unique ideas for Sangeet.

What about a Fashion show with all your aunts, uncles siblings, and friends. You can also plan some games with the bride’s team and groom’s team, or dance battles between boys and girls.
